The different scenes of the four seasons give birth to various plant, creating a lively atmosphere Kyoto Botanical Garden is the first public botanical garden in Japan. It was opened in 1924, and was temporarily closed for a period, reopening to the public in 1961. It is loved by the people of Kyoto. Right now the garden is home to over 12 thousand plant species and 120 thousand plants, all with different natural temperaments that change with the seasons. The garden is spacious with various forests including cherry trees and maple forests, making it an ideal location for nature photography.

Blue skies, green trees, and blooming cherry blossoms

When Winter ends and Spring approaches, new leaves start to appear on branches. During late March, more than 450 cherry trees in the garden start to bloom. Due to near hundred species, late April is when the beauty is at it’s fullest. Enjoy the picturesque outdoor sceneries of Japan in Spring, surrounded by the natural sceneries of blue skies and green trees, decorated by beautiful cherry blossoms.
